Saw these in the CLEO magazine.
"Dark eye circles is the No. 1 skincare problem for eyes among Asian women." And they are caused by
- Stayin up late- Long hours at the computer- Constantly surfing the Net
- Wear contact lenses for long periods of time
- Habit of rubbing the eyes- Love to suntan- Prone to nasal congestion- Constantly feel tired no matter how much sleep
Out of 8, 5 points happen to me. Those in bold are the main culprits especially the rubbing eyes and nasal congestion part. As compared to many night owl friends, I am not considered to be staying up late BUT as compared to the ideal time to sleep it is another story. Neither do I go suntanning but I just happen to always get sun burnt often and I don't like putting on sun block. No wonder I have panda eyes since young and no matter how much eye mask or whatever cream I use. -_-"
The magazine also states that
- when your nose is congested, veins that drain from your eyes into your nasal areabecome bigger and darker.
- rubbing your eyes will put too much pressure on the capillaries surrounding your eyes, causing them to break and leak blood and this can lead to a blusih shadow around the eyes.
My two major vices are not helping me in reducing my panda eyes. I can't do much about my poor sensitive nose but at least I can try to stop rubbing my eyes. So my friends if you see me rubbing away please pry my hands off! But then again...the root of my rubbing habit is also the result of my
fragile delicate nose. Oh well.....
