It was hell trying to get quotes from 4 different agencies and to compare their prices while at the same time remembering who said what, promised what without mixing them up and then disseminating them to the class. Then with 4 agencies, I will have to turn away 3 agencies in the end and this is the time when agents suddenly become VERY proactive and start to call you up and ask why you don't want already, which agency you getting from, what price blah blah blah. To which I can only reply, "Sorry, we have already done other arrangements. Thanks for answering all our, or rather, my queries. Hope to be able to work with you another time." -_-"
It really doesn't help when 30 people have 30 different request, all of which is rather complicated. So I got the agent down today to answer all queries and to collect payment. The meeting lasted 3 hours. I think she must have been damn terrified by us. We felt so guilty for making so many complicated requests, fly from here, return from there, don't want this, want that etc. And so it finally ended. Everyone paid and save for a few who need changes, the rest will get their ticket issued tomorrow. But I am also quite troublesome.
I will be flying SIA from Singapore to London while the rest will fly Qantas. We will then meet up at London to take a connecting BA flight to Norway. As my SIA tickets are redeemed, I will need to work out the BA flight to take such that we will all arrive in Norway around the same time. -_-"
Initially we had the idea of travelling after exams and finally end up at London to take the flight back to Singapore. BUT then we realized we might need to have UK visa to enter London. -_-" This is super troublesome. Even is singaporeans don't need, the malasians and PRC might need. Damn.
Then there is the problem of luggage. As we are getting a super low promotion price so the luaggage allowance is only 20kg. BA says that even if we were to buy a higher fare ticket the limit is also 20kg. This 20kg of check-on luggage can only be in 1 piece. So we have to get a super super big luggage and squeeze everything inside. Got such dumb things meh? How are we suppose to carry it huh? I mean how heavy can an average girl be? And if you are vertically challenged, then its worse. Only 1 check-in (20kg) and 1 hand-carry (8kg) allowed. I know every extra kg means more fuel must be burnt and that fuel price is rocketing like mad now but don't need like that right. Every additional 20kg baggage is available at 150 Euros. *thunder & lightning* So we are considering getting a 20-foot container and ship our things over. (must trust our own line of study and find cheap contacts).
Tell me the preparation work is almost over soon. Oh, there is still the insurance to settle. Damn. And I have not applied for my residence permit yet. *faint*
