Mon was the first day of school and it was pure madness. Everyone somehow agrees that it is not a good start for the year. haha... Somehow some suay things will happen to everyone of us. It may not be SUAY per se but it is just the little things that happened which doesn't make you feel goo. My day started with my dearest pal who got up bright and early and travelled to my house to help me bring my 'big bags small bags' home so that I don't need to lug it to school and end up looking like a mad woman. The pal then delivered it to my hall for me (coz father driving to sch). So touched. Thanks ah! =p
The very first lesson of the semester made the entire class (or at least those ard me) so tired. Coz the lecturer has a flair of language and made the entire lecture notes as if we're reading a novel of very fancy language. If you strike out those irrelevant sentences, each para might be left with just 2-3 lines. He insisted on reading out the entire notes and then explaining the supposedly bombastic words for each paragraph. But the point is we do know what those words meant and for those few words which we do not know, we can guess the meaning. OH my... 12 weeks of such 'English' lessson? Kill Me. But then he is super blur.. first he came in and rambled for like 5 mins w/o telling us who he is then proceed to give out lecture notes (coz nv upload) then he mentioned something abt setting qns last sems. But we nv had his lesson before then he proceed to asked if we were year 1. This left us laughing our heads off la.. obviously we are not. The he collected back the notes and suddenly realize he is in the CORRECT class afterall.. only that he assumes he is teaching year 1.
Went to the lib after that to check my electives and guess what greeted me when I login to studentlink? "You've not been allocated any GE-UE or PE." *thunder + lightning* I can't believe I so suay (another suay e.g.) can! I put 2 on waitlist and got none. My friend put 3 on waitlist and got 2! Well done. This resulted in me refreshing my planner every 5 minutes now to grab any vacancies avilable.
Then went to sit in for one of the electives which I nearly fell asleep. It is totally not what I imagined it to be. The lecturer is so literature. She informed us of the need to read poetry and analyze readings etc and mentioned a whole lot of poets or literature authors whom I have never heard off and cannot understand at all.... Those who have a flair for literature will like it. The irony is that I love literature back in lower secondary.... but I guess that's where my standard stop, having no further contact with it. I simply lost touch. -_-" Then it is meeting in the evening and my day finally ended at 9pm. How's that for day 1 of back to school? And guess what, my day did not end till earliest 9pm for the rest of WEEK 1 either! Fantastic.
