I shall post up pictures of our disastrous first attempt at baking a chocolate cheesecake. The cheese part turn out quite alright but the base (the chocolate cake) is quite a problem.
Melting the chocolates... tough job.
The one on the left is attempt #1 which is a immediate failure coz it doesn't rise, notice the dent in the middle?? Our found out that it has got to do with the whisking of egg whites. There cannot be any trace of water, oil or wadever it in, must be PURE egg white.. -_-" So we re-try and wash our untensils very throughly which is not east coz we had to used butter, cream chesse etc earlier on. And ta-dah the one on the right is attempt #2 which looks slightly better but still no good coz my mum say it didn't rise enough.
After many many attempts, this is our final product. Nice? Looks so professionally done right? haha.. coz this is a picture taken from the book!! =p
Anyway we abandoned the idea of baking and managed to find some recepie which doesn't requires baking. It was not bad! Relatively easy to make and I had already tried it twice. Yummy... but it isn't cheap to bake though. Those ingredients easily cost a bomb.. or mini bomb... but the equipments sure aren't cheap.. luckily my mum had them. She thought I finally 'kai qiao' and decided to do some baking and cooking and keep bugging me with all her recepie books everyday... but too bad Mum.. I'm still very not interested coz it is alot of work you know.. especially the washing up part. I only endure the torturous process tat few times coz we are trying to make a cake for Ms Cheng.
So what does this prove? Not that I cannot cook but I don't want to learn cook! haha... *bleah*
