Qinz & I spent the day being 'pastry chef' yesterday. It was hard work! Standing on the feet for 6 hours straight is no joke. Baking is more tiring than going for camps! Our feets are aching like mad at the end of it. We attempted to make some German Cheese Tarts. For beginners like us, the result is considered not bad already.. It looks similar to the book and is edible and tasted quite alright. With a few more attempts we should be able to master it...haha!!
Actually wanted to bake it for Ms Chay BUT seeing that is doesn't look so good and how tired our limbs are..we abolish the plan. Maybe you'll get to taste it in our 2nd attempt...erm.. sometime soon..I hope. ahah!!
I told Ms Qinz that we're truly new generation females.. cannot cook! At least for me... it is pure torture..at least the cleaning up part is really torturous... I think my hands are all wrinked up from all the washing the whole day long...

That's me on my first attempt to separate the egg yolk and the egg white. Slowly and carefully...

Ta-dah!They're separated and the yolk is still nice and round! Repeat the process with 4 eggs. So proud of myself!

Sieve the flour, sugar, cheese and what-not and then dig a hold and pour in the egg yolks.

Then you knead them to form a dough for the pastry skin. That's Chef Qinz with her V-sign.

After 1 hour of baking in the oven and aloud of loud screams from us coz our cheese batter turns out quite hard..sorry first attempt. My fault in not stirring the batter properly.

This is how it is suppose to look like. ahah!!

We attempted 2 chocolate cheese tarts too... not bad too! Taste even nicer overnight coz you need to cool the choc cheese mixture! =)
Chef Qinz and I are on leave till further notice... so if you want to catch us in action, pls wait patiently. =P
p/s: btw, I was v amused when I saw myself being mentioned in joel's blog. So going to kill him for always saying i'm a boy! dotz.... and since when did i write abt my love life mister!?
