I slept at 5 am yest. Surprise? I woke up around 11 am today. Even more surprise?! I was actually in bed tossing and turning around 2+ am, unable to get to sleep. Then I heard 'poom' 'POOM' sound. I thought the bangala workers at the nearby rubbish chute has overturned a heavy item like a cupboard or old sofa. So I continue to toss and turn. Then I heard 'vroom' ' vroom'. I thot who are the inconsiderate people who are racing around the carpark downstairs. So I decided to peep out of the window. I caught glimpse of flashing red lights on 2 motorcycle zooming out from the block in front of my block to the industrial estate 3 blocks away. Something is not quite right. The I heard my mum open her bedroom door. So she heard the 'poom' 'POOM' sound too. We peer out of the window and saw some smoke. We went out to the corridoor to take better look from another angle. We saw FIRE!!!
Then we heard a few more 'POOM' 'POOM'! And the fire got bigger!! Smokes got thicker!! The fire was several stories high and since there are like 2 blocks blocking our view yet we can see the height of the fire, you can imagine how huge is the fire. It looks as though the next block is on fire coz we saw the fire at the idustrial estate through their windows.. it was so bright. With ever 'POOM' the fire got bigger! Yes... explosions. Most likely the factory that caught fire had somethings in their premise that cause the explosion. Soon alot of people are gathering at their windows to look. It was quite scary when u heard several 'POOM' at intervals. My mum went into the house and start to put all our passports and impt documents into a bag in case the fire got bigger and we need to FLEE for our lives! So much drama in the wee hours!!! *faint*
My pig father and brother were still sleeping like LOGS. I had to wake them up. -_-" Then I realize my father had parked his car (company car) at the industrial estate coz no parking space and he often park near the area that caught fire!!! OMG! But then luckily he today park at another end coz there no space. *phew* My mum, bro n I decided to go downstairs to take a look and quite a lot of people has gathered at the block opp the industrial estate to see. Luckily the road separating the industrial estate and the housing estate is quite a distance away. The fire spread from 1 factory to the 2 factories beside it. One of the factories is dealing with plastics so the smoke got thicker and smellier. The more civil defence arrive. More fire engines... those carrying water as well as foams. The the one dealing with hazards arrive.. the Hazamat or Hamazat.. can't rmb. Then the police and traffic police came. Though the media didn't come. My mum suggested that I call channel 8 news. Siao! Anyway I oso dun rmb the number. So I told my mum if it doesn't appear in the news means people living around here are not kpos.. wun call the media...haha! So let's watch the news and see.
Anyway the fire was burning for like more than 2 hours coz we stay n watch till 5 am..who dare to sleep anyway!? Ard 5 am the fire was more or less under control... then at around 9 am this morning I still see smoke emitting...the kind that emits after you douse the fire. Till now the firemen are at the place cleaning up the area. Btw, my ENTIRE block right... only my family was awake. EVERYONE else was sleeping... -_-". Including my neighbours...I was talking so loudly outside their corridoor yet none open the door / window to see.
