I love my books!

I've been a baaaddd girl. I've spent the last 4 hours reading... not my notes but rather my storybook. It had been a long time since I laid my hands on a storybook simply because of the lack of it in sch! I was very glad that the jurong point library was re-opened last week. Not very big, but good enough to get a few books.

I love reading stories... any stories but over the past few years I've grown to like mysteries, detectives stories.. whooahoo! The suspense is so exciting and I'll devour the book hungrily. I can be so engrossed to the extend that I finish reading the stipulated number of chapters before I'm willing to eat my dinner/sleep/do anything else, just like now. I esp like the books my Mary Hggins Clark. Heez... I'm a fast reader but this does not apply for reading notes.. haha! I can easily finish a book in a day or two.. in fact a few hours if you don't count the interruptions in between. In fact I started reading a book tis morning before class, in between class and after class and in the estimated 6-7 hours I've actually finished 283 pages! Juz abit left before I'll close the book with a contented sigh!

I know I'm very baaddd. Other people are busy preparing for the upcoming exams and here I am lost in my own world. But that's what I like about reading. It transports me to another world, another country at another time zone, say a few hundred years back. Just by reading I can picture the surroundings and the kind of lives the characters in the books had. So different from ours. Their lives seems so much better, where they have summer houses that they visits during the vacations and usually these houses are located in small towns, near the sea and everyone know one another. They will just sip coffee and read a book then have dinners etc etc, how many of us have the leisure to do that now?

Ahhh... I actually very much looked forward to this kind of life. Several times while daydreaming (yes I do daydream too.. hahaz) I pictured myself working hard during the weekdays after graduating then on saturdays, I'll be out with my family or friends. And come sunday, I'll be contented to be able to curl up at home to read a good book. Life will be so blissful.. if only life is this simple. =)

Back to reality... time to do my tutorials... and no I'm not starting my revisions though I shld be doing so. Guess I'll do it after my econs test... In fact i'll tend to forget those that need memory work if I start doing it now... but i'm v tempted to go back to finish up my storybook. Guess I'll do just that. I'll not be able to "rest in peace" or rather work in peace if I never get to the last page tonight.
