Had a looooong day with the exchange students yesterday. We went to meet them at LT 8 at 10am. After some talks we went on a campus tour, Jurong Point and Chinatown. I hade ppl from Canada and Hong Kong. The HK students were more reserved and shy but the ppl frm Canada were fun. They were very funny and was very fascinated with everything. They seem to like the school facilities very much! Hahah.. especially the gym and the pool! One guy even asked if it is easy to fail during exams. He is only asking for a pass as to him getting 80 and 50 makes no difference. There is only pass or fail for him. That is just erm...so cool! haha.. no la... they take life easier than Asian yet they know quite a bit. They are also no afraid to ask questions to clear their doubts.
For the candians, it is paradise here! Everything is just so cheap for them.. Danny even commented "I can get a meal for $2. Give me $10 and it will feed me forever". Words coming from their mouth are just so funny. There is another girl, Preety. Her name is pronounced as "pretty". So it actually sounds like I am like those westerners, calling everyone 'pretty', 'dear', 'honey' when actually it is her name! haha... They intend to visit Thailand and other countries during long weekends. OMG! How cool.. Pack me into your luggage too! And they like clubbing! The first thing is to ask us where are the clubs and pubs etc. HAhaha.... Goodness.
