Heard from my friends that recently there are more cases of students withdrawing from school and being admitted into IMH. As to how true it is I do not know but there are seriously cases of attempt suicides as well as suicide not too long ago too. 1 incident happen around last month at one of the school buildings. The person apparently was too stressed and was at the roof and it sent a flurry through school with those huge blue PE mattresses being brought out frantically (in case the person jumps). But in the end the counsellor managed to get the person down. I've heard from my friend who live in this particular hall that there is a case of attempt suicide and a case of successful suicide there. The person who committed suicide successfully did not do it in sch but the person live in that hall. The other person had tried to but was not successful. It is scary to hear such things... you can just gauge the level of stress we are having here... especially since it is less than 3 weeks to exams.
No matter how stressful it is, one should not attempt to commit suicide. Not only is it against the law (u will get whipped for it, even if you're dead)..it is letting your parents and yourself down. The most important thing is to focus and get over the obstacles but if you can't, take a break and carry on when you can. I know it is easy to say... I myself do not know if I have the courage to say take a break from school and then carry on. I can't imagine how I am going to deal with it so I decided that my best option is not to let myself come to such a situation where I have to make such a decision. Everyone will feel really down at come point but things will improve... So no matter what don't contempt suicide.. besides it is not a nice way to die. Perhaps we should try to take more notice of our friends around us for if a person is about to break down...the person is certainly not in the right state of mind to seek help.
3 more weeks... gosh! Don't ask me how's my revision. I have NOT started. I am still left with 1 presentation this week and another report next week. I PRAY that there is not going to be anymore quiz or whatever... else I really will never have time to trace my backlog of tutorials... especially for MATH. Math is bad... especially LIMITS. I absolutely cannot do LIMITS... don't ask me why.. I don't know.
