As I am blogging now U guess Ying shld be having her bdae bbq. Once again Happy 20th Birthday! Sorry I was not able to make it... I was knock out by the flu tablet till not long ago. Well, we did celebrate with her on Friday!
Fri was a rather rushy day for me... Went to Macpherson to trade-in my old IBM laptop... and then rushed home to get ready to meet the gals. In fact I rushed to develope the photo I needed for my hand-made bade card! Gald she like it... Coz I was still cutting away @ 4.30pm when I am suppose to meet qinz 5.30pm @ UE square. So I zoom in n out of the shower n got my self dressed up (order of bade girl cannot defy!) in 30 min flat! Veri luckily for me there are a few cabs and I even had a choice of which I wanted...ahahz! I had no idea where UE quare is..so when the driver ask me izzit River Valley...I ahh..ermm.. until he say..Mohd Sultan there izzit.. den I ya dere! Coz qiz mention tat her work place v near dere...lolz. But stupid me didn't realize that we will go pass erp so there is the erp charge cum peak hr charge..FAINT! I had to rush coz we meeting ying n bong @ 6. And I had to get there earlier than them to meet qinz to help her with the bouquet of flowers. The bouquet os 10 tuplips is so HEAVY! My arm nearly broke carrying it frm UE square to Clarke Quay mrt to meet them. I had to hide in a corner to give ying a surprise. All the ppl walking pass stared at me..muz be wondering why am I standing there alone with this big bouquet of flowers (qinz was waiting for them at the other side..pretending I was late). Told them luckily I am not a guy... if not they thot I am gg to propose to my gf! LOLz..
It was the biggest bouquet of flowers she received b4... n glad that she likes it. We proceed to Riverside Indonesian Restaurant to have our dinner... Ms Chay reserved a table by the river but the nearest we get to the river is like a 20-30 steps away..lolz! Tat cannot be considered by the river!! Food was not bad... spicy squid, spicy stingray, spicy kang kong, bbq chicken, satay n tahu goreng... n aloe vera lime drink. After dinner we took a walk ard clarke quay and then to roberston quay n finally ended up at sound bar @ the gallery hotel. Actually they wanted to go the Liquid Room (which is above sound bar) but we were attracted by the light bulbs hung on the trees and we sat there for like 3 hrs... It was quite a nice place...not smoky.. in fact it is open air concept. Me n Qinz n Bong had to come up with some excuses to go to the toilets several times in order to find somewhere to get her cake n the candle as well as collborate with the waiter. Lucky for us we managed to buy a slice of Oreo Cheesecake... that shop actually closed at 7pm but they were having a private function yest night! yea... but there is no candle! So I went to the gallery hotel reception and asked where I can get a candle (actually I was hinting that I need one from them! muahhaha) and the nice receptionist got 1 from the F&B dept for me. Good svc!~ =) Passed the cake n candle to 1 of the waiter and asked him to bring it out at 12! And that waiter happened to be the one tat Ms Chay sorta flirted with..haha! It was too dark so I was juz asking the waiter to keep the cake den I realize it is him!
She was carrying the flowers so he asked if its her bdae n even extend him hand to wish her. Wow.. score pt! The other waiters didn't noticed lor..! So she asked if there is any special privillage for bdae girl or staff discount but tat waiter was kind of stump for words n left..haha den he nv come back already! The came a waiter by the name of 'Lei-Mong-Na' ahhaa....who served the drinks. They had alcoholic drinks and I am the only one who have coke n he luff at me when he served my coke!!! arghhg! Izzit so funni! Actually I didn't realize until ying commented 'hor u die...u luff at her..' pengz! Den he oso v paiseh n siam... ahah.. Ying treated us to drinks and the Lei-Mong-Na veri funn... he muz wait for her to return from the ladies b4 bringing the change over. I mean bong n I were there lor..but he juz stand ard... dun wan gif us the change.. so when he came over.. I say 'waa...nan ying.. u noe hor.. he waiting for u to come back leh..he dun wan to gif us the change...' ahha! Make him paiseh again.. After that came the score pt waiter again.. his name is Kenn-something.. forgot le.. he is very observant n attentive! He always seem to noe wad we want n keeping refilling our chips n ice-water n even offer to help us take photo when he saw tat we are taking it ourselves! waah... ying nearly die of exhaustion last nite coz she keep trying to 'electrocute' the score-pt waiter..haha... wan to take his number but dun dare..haha! Aniwae when he brought out the cake..qinz managed to capture him on camera n I even got him to take a photo with Ying! ahha... I am gg to develope into 8R for ying..*winkz*
Den qinz n I went to set up the tea-lights..wanted to put into a heart shape but it was difficult..so we settled for 'LUV NY' but the wind was against us! whenever we finish lighting...some will be blown out.. arghghg! both of us ended up dripping with sweat n wax hands but the flame simply cannot stay! So in the end we gave up,... its the thots tat count! Took quite alot of photos wif bong's camera..will load it up once she uploads it..(not 10 yrs ...maybe 5! ahha)
/Gone to do report... or shld I sleep? The flu tablet drowsy effect is still there...
