It is very common to hear of people stealing your ideas in the working world. But ever stop of wonder does it only exist in the working world? Nope, it exist even in school. Ok, maybe not so serious s stealing your ideas but juz taking your opinion / reasoning as theirs. Person A might not know much of a topic or rather do not have opinion on tat matter but after discussing abt it with Person B, Person A knows what Person B is thinking. Afterwhich, Person A proceesds to air that opinion / reasoning to Person A's friends as thought the opinion belongs to Person A. I mean it is ok if you wan to tell ur fren of another person's opinion / reasoning but pls at least make it known tat it is not ur opinion. This is juz like plagarism in reports. You can cite other people words but u have to make sure u give them due credit by referencing them.
"Corruption" is also the way to go in uni. As long as u know the right people you most probably can get into wadever committee u wan. This is more or less the same in the working world... it is important to know people, so networking is essential. I have never thot of getting into committee in this way but sad to say I have to accept that this is the way things operate here. I was initially very apprehensive of getting into this committee when someone asked me to consider coz I am juz a freshmen here, still bumping my way around. I am sure all (if not majority) will not be happy that I get in just because I know someone. But then again a sentence tat my roomate says make sense too. She said "Just go for it. Even if you don't go, someone else will take tat position too." Ya, it makes sense. Since I am given the opportunity, I should just go for it. If I were to go by the correct procedure, I might never have a chance to get into the committee. This is a case of seizing the opportunity when it comes. But now the expectation to do well is twice that of what I will get if I had gone by the correct way. People are looking and I know tat well enuff from my past experience. ?????????
