Lazy Saturday Afternoon

3pm on a Saturday afternoon. What am I doing? Lazing around. I love to laze around, watch tv, online, read etc. Aren't weekends suppose to be very happening? Nope. I am a homely girls...ahhaz. I will go out but it doesn't have to be every weekend right.

NTU or SMU? I have like 3 more weeks to make a decision. A decision that will determine the next four years of my life and possible life after that too. Decisions get more difficult as one grow older I realize. Haiz... 3 weeks of thinking..

Seldome online at home nowadays coz of my new routine. I ususally wake up at 6 am! yes..freaking early -_-". Then go work at 7 am. When I get back from work, it is watching tv all the way till bedtime which is around 11pm. It is not that early ok, considering I only have 7 hours of sleep if I were to fall asleep immediately but usually I don't. All thanks to the humid weather and my sensitive nose. Coz of the weather, I'm dripping wet literally whenever I step away from the fan or air-con. But then b'coz of my nose, I cannot have the air-con on when I am sleeping... dun noe why I even haf air-con in the room. So no choice I have to shift to the living room. Yes I am "ting zhang" I slept on the sofa with the ceiling fan on. But I can't do this for consective days else I will get terrible flu. Argghh... terrible isn't it. Please let this humid season be gone fast!

On the topic of work, I would say I have learnt quite a number of things. Actually up to date, since after O'levels till now...hmm...around 3 years, I have had quite a fair bit of working experience. This is..let's me recall.. my 7th working experience. Ranging from banquet waitress to a short stint as roadshow promoter to private tutor to admin assistant to tele-surveyor to programmer (attachment).

My very first job was banquet waitress. Fresh O'level leaver then, no experience, no cert so cannot do office job rite. From this job I learnt to ya, serve ppl. I get to know what goes behind the scene of those beautiful wedding dinners. I learn to use a fork and spoon as a tong. I learnt to cut up the fish for the guest. I learnt to balance a tray of drinks on 1 hand. I learnt to clear every dishes, cups, spoons, chopsticks..everything in 1 go. So heavy, didn't know how I managed to do that. I learnt so many things.

Roadshow Promoter. It was for 1 of the 3 major tele-communication giant in Singapore. I learnt more of the services that it offered. I learnt of how to get passer by interested in the products. I learnt how to talk the people into buying..haha. But I am not cut out for sales line as I dun like to persuade ppl to buy, much as I dun like ppl to persuade me to buy things. hahaz... If i want that thing, i will buy even if you dun utter a word.

Private tutor. The better paying job and shorter working hours. But more demanding mentally as kids nowadays can be quite a handful. Teach the kid, haf to entertain the parents and the younger siblings too. -_-". Especially during the exam period, the kids totally not worried but parents more worried. As if they are the one taking the exams. I learnt how to "bluff" the kid into doing the work and how to re-assure the parents that their kids are doing fine even though that I thot are not. But somehow these kids always gave me good results, even those that I tink won't do well. Dun noe is me this teacher good or they smart but lazy. I tink is a mixture of both lah...hahaz

Admin assistant. Actually it was for a petrol station. Quite interesting. I get to help do stock take. I get to see all kinds of cigarettes from the stock taking. I got to decorate the store during festive seasons. I learnt to take water reading from those big holes on the ground where petrol are filled. I learnt to count money too... and I mean money in large numbers.

Tele-Surveyor. I actually learnt to ignore ppl. Ignore those crazy ppl I get on the phone. Ignore those snobbish ppl on the phone. Ignore my boss who keep hovering ard reminding me of the target to meet. Crazy!

haha...wad an experience. I shall save my current work experience for another time.
