*yAwNz* Spent a super tiring but fun Saturday. Yes, today's the day of the Great Maritime Adventure! It is an event organized by the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) to promote the maritime industry to the public. This event is aka amazing race where you have to solve clues to get to the different locations and then perform certain challenges at the various locations and survive on limited money - SGD 50.
Woke up damn early eat 5.30 (super long never wake up at tis kind of timing since secondary sch). Met Nic and Meifeng at J.East then we make our way to Clifford Pier (starting & ending point). The past few days were super hot with scorching sun but it rained on us today the moment Mrs Lim Hwee Hua (G.O.H) flagged us off. And yes, we were drenched the moment we made our way our of Clifford Pier to One Fullerton for our very first clue.
First stop - Sembawang Shipyard. Fearing that there might not be enough $$, we decided to take the mrt to Sembawang and then a bus but apparently it was not a very wise choice coz the journey was long and the waiting time for bus was also wrong! Ran around the shipyard - nearly died from running around. Very long never run le... ever since NAPFA test which is like 4 mths ago?? Panting like mad. But this stop is the most FUN stop coz we got to dress Nic in the uniform (i tink it is call uniform). Super complicated to wear...consists of an overall blue jumpsuit, two leather pieces to protect the leg, two more for the arm, helmet and the face mask (the kind used for welding). At one point in time, the mask and helmet got tangled up, nearly stranggling him... hahah! I was laughing so hard that I just had to squat down. Once done with that, we quickly went to complete other challenges and got outta the shipyard.
Managed to get a free bus ride to woodlands. Thanks Uncle! Though I doubt he will ever see this. ahha... Oh ya, before boarding the bus, we sort of squat along the pavement to solve the rest of the clues. Hahha... ya, no image liao.. but who cares about image when you are in such a race? Then we went around looking for street directory to locate the places.. ahha.. and planned out our route. Then it is "chiong" all the way liao. We went to ... let me think.... ya, we went to

Did you see any link? Ya... its all related to maritime industry. What else do you expect to see? haha... Though we got back to Clifford Pier around 1+ pm (ending time is 5pm) .......alot of other teams were already back! Omg! We heard that they took cab all the way. Ya.. think also can lah but we stingy so end up we were still left with 20 bucks! So we went for lunch with the amount of money. hahah... Was hoping that we were lucky enough to win something in the lucky draw, but apparently we were not very lucky today. We didn't even get to witness the lucky draw and prize presentation ceremony.! Why? Coz when we were back around 1+, they told us we can go for lunch... so we happily went to MacDonalds as no one told us the ending time was brought forward. So when we got back around 3.30pm, the prize presentation was over and almost 3/4 of the people had already left! -_-" Over here got a bit co-ordination problem.
But overall is fun, esp with those lame words spouting from Nic's mouth. Super duper tired and in fact I think I'm getting sick from being drenched in the rain twice (once at Clifford Pier and once on my way home). *Ah Choooooz* *Sniff Sniff*
