ME division will be sending 12 students for the Overseas Community Services to Sarawak from 21May 21 to 7June 2004 (18 days). We will be going to Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Pinang, Kampong Sungai Pinang Baru, Simunjan, Sarawak. The community service will be to impart IT skills to the villagers and help in some construction work. The objective of this trip is to expose the students to the culture and socio-economic development of the country. Apart from showing your community spirit, individuals will acquire skills in leadership and teamwork. CCA points will be awarded.
The cost of the trip is about S$210/= only with the remaining 70% of the total cost paid by Singapore International Foundation (SIF). Cost includes all meals and lodging, to and fro air fare from Singapore to Kuching, facilitation and transport.
The above was an extracted from an e-mail sent by my year co-ordinator. Yea...I'm pretty interested in it. If someone is willing to accompany, most prob I will go coz it will most likely be the last of such trip. Its either I go this holidays or no more...I'll be having attachement for next year and most prob will start end of this year...
