Happy Monkey Year!!! Juz came home from "house-hopping".... went out at ard 11+ this morning and ended up at my ah ma's hse for dinner den it's back home. I'm dead tired now. heheh..... While in the car I commented tat y do we have to go visiting for chinese new year. Ya, i noe it's a chinese custom but I find it a bit silly to go visiting juz to be seen. When u reach someone's house, you will..."Hi aunty, uncle, Happy New Year" Den it will be sit down n munch on the snacks den it will be "How old are you huh?", "Where you studying now?", "Go help mummy do housework not?". den you receive hong baos den it will be..."We'll make a move first, still have to visit other places".... Den the whole process repeats itself at every house. Sounds silly?? HAhha.....or izzit juz happening to me?

Well, after reunion dinner yesterday we went to Chinatown to look at the fire crackers. We reached at around 11.15....n we inched our way into the crowd to get closer to the bridge where 88 strings of fire crackers were hung. When the blast goes off at 12 midnight, everyone was ooing and ahhing....it lasted quited long and it gets louder by the minute. There were fire works too... but a tad too much if you ask me. I mean after 88 strings of fire crackers and some fire works I thot it was over. But no, a fire works display followed. It got very smoky and the small bits from the fire works rained on us and something actually drop n hit my forehead. Nearly kena my eye... I mean it was not an open space and wif so much fire works flying here n there....n 1 actually flew towards a block of apartment nearby as the wind was quite strong too. The amt of fire works might be even more than those used on National Day...

Enuff abt tat...I'm going to watch my "At the Dolphine Bay" (Hai Tun Wan Lie Ren) vcds..... more visitings tomorrow!
