Today is Singapore's 38th Birthdy... hAppIe BirThDaY!!! Hope that we'll be able to get out of the current situation we are in now. I believe that, United we'll Survive! The parade was superb.... though I was juz watching from home, I feel very happy... it's my country's birthday after all. =) The parade outshine itself year after year, really wonder what will be on te parade next yr! Sun Yan Zi voice is full of power, just what we need to bring out the 'gung-ho' of the songs...
Hope that next year will be able to get NDP tickets to watch the pardae. Haiz... in 18 yrs of my life, I've never been to a live parade at all. The part that I like best about every year's parade will be the part where all the uniform groups march in / out. So nice, so SMART! I really hope to be participating in the parade...but obviously I have no chance to do so, but 4 of my cadets are marching in the parade this year. Hope they are "smarter" after going thru all the trainings... hiaz...
Went to Margaret Drive Special School yest to celebrate National Day wif the kids there. Was there from 8am-1pm only....but was very tired after that... Coz wasted alot of energy to handle those kids there? maybe... Initially we were rather scared, didn't noe what to do.. was abit startled by some of their appearance but obviously we can't show it. For the first session, Dawn & I took care of a 14 yr old hearing imparied malay girl but she was taller and bigger size than us! Was told that she was kept at home for 14 yrs and was there only recently so did not understand sign language and that here mentality is just that of maybe a 6 yr old? Aniwae...the teachers there were very caring and most of them were very young.
Hiaz....dun noe y..but from school start until now, I feel that I've not learn anything at all! Is it b'coz there are not much H/W, or is it b'coz I'm really slacking?? Hiaz....actuallt wanted to study abit today, but only manage to write the notes for 1 chapter of OOP... not in the mood leh... Then tmr muz go my grandma hse to pray. Another wasted day! Next week is Wk 6 le... Common Test on Wk 9..which means I've 3 weeks to go ... but I'm having first aid course for the next 2 conseutive weekends! Weekends are the only time I have to study....weekday always end ard 3 or 5. Guess I juz have to pia thru these few eveings and during the 1 wk study break on Wk 8!
Hiaz.... off to bed now. Must work hard from Monday onwards!
